Colleges, libraries, museums, and other cultural institutions can now order the institutional edition of Design Canada. The film is available as a digital file, which includes the full 74-minute feature film in English and French versions.

Institutional copies come with a limited public performance license that allows classroom and library use, and on-campus screenings that are free for students or members and not advertised to the general public.

Digital Site Licenses allow colleges and universities to encode, locally host and stream the films to their students on a closed system. The term of the license is five years.
